Reasons for combined shipments
Combining delivery from your warehouse not only ensures professional packaging, but also saves international shipping costs compared to split shipments.
The following example: choose GD-EMS to ship to the United States.
Assume that the first weight is 500 grams, the cost is 30 USD, and the subsequent cost is 10 USD for each additional 500 g, and the handling fee for each package is 1 USD.
Assume that you have 3 items weighing 700 g, 1100 g and 1600 g respectively.
1. If you choose ordinary shipping (i.e. the package is sent in batches), the cost is 153 USD.
(30+10+1)+(30+10*2+1)+(30+10*3+1)=153 USD
2. If you choose to combine shipments, the shipping fee is only 91 USD.
The total weight of the package is calculated as follows: 0.7kg + 1.1kg + 1.6kg = 3.4kg.
Shipping fee: 30+10*6+1=91 USD
Combining shipments can save 2 first weights and 2 handling fees, and directly save 62 USD in shipping fees (153-91=62 USD).
Tips:
The weight and quantity of the package are key factors used by various countries to determine whether it is personal or commercial transportation. Packages over 10 kg are more likely to be classified as commercial transportation, and a large number of identical items is another important reason to be considered commercial transportation. Therefore, we recommend that you consider the weight and quantity of the package when choosing to combine shipments.
